Thought I start this new adventure into blogging by write a quick blog as to what I have in my home Lab.
Home Labs are really useful to learn and study any part of IT. They allow you to try things out like new configurations or protocols that you wont want to deploy on your production network for fear of causing unnecessarily down time to your users and having to field all their calls as a result. I can not recommend enough how useful my home lab has been for me studying for all me certs. I have collected this lab over the past 5-6 years. If you are thinking of setting up your own it does not have to be as elaborate at my one is. So start small play around with your home router. Try and break it and then study why it is not working. I have learnt the most by troubleshooting issues that i have inadvertently cause in my home lab. If you are like me and you have a partner or family using your home network. Build a production network for them. Trust me its a lot less pain in the long run.
