So its been a little while since my last post and a fair bit has happen in that time. So I thought I write a quick blog post to keep you guys up to date
CWDP
In May I passed the CWNP's Certified Wireless Design Professional Exam on my first attempt. Which was fantastic. The exam I felt was really good and it allowed me understand fully why we follow the best practices for designing Wi-Fi and all the considerations you should take into account when designing good Wi-Fi.
I found the exam easier then the CWNA exam as I believe with my professional experiences of design Wi-Fi network I all ready knew about 70-80% of the material already,
So it is 2 down 2 to go on the exam front on the road to CWNE. My next exam is the CWAP (Certified Wireless Analysis Professional). Which I hear is the hardest but also the most satisfying and interesting exam and afterwards I will walk away with fully knowing how 802.11 actually works.
New Job
Another thing that happen in May is that I moved jobs. While I was not unhappy at ComputerWorld the opportunity to join the UK's Largest ISP in the Student accommodation market in the Product team as Network Architect design and testing all new technologies that will be used and rolled out ot thousands of Student accommodations was to big a chance to let go by. Ive been in the role just over a month and really loving it.
